Welcome to MoyoWangu.

These Terms of Service explain the rules for using the MoyoWangu website, platform, services and related features. By accessing or using MoyoWangu, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. About MoyoWangu

MoyoWangu is a matchmaking and relationship platform created to help Zimbabweans in Zimbabwe and across the diaspora meet genuine people with intention, culture and shared values.

The platform may include early access registration, profile creation, matchmaking, communication features, verification checks, subscription features and other related services.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use MoyoWangu.

By using MoyoWangu, you confirm that:

You are 18 years or older.

You are legally able to enter into these Terms.

The information you provide is accurate and belongs to you.

You are using the platform for genuine personal connection and not for fraud, harassment, abuse, commercial promotion or any unlawful purpose.

We may refuse, suspend or remove accounts where we believe the user is underage, dishonest, unsafe, abusive or in breach of these Terms.

3. Account Registration

To use some parts of MoyoWangu, you may need to register and provide personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, location, profile details, preferences and other information needed for matchmaking.

You agree to provide accurate, complete and up-to-date information.

You must not create an account using another person’s identity, false information, fake photos, duplicate details or misleading profile content.

You are responsible for keeping your login details, verification links and account access secure.

4. One Person, One Account

MoyoWangu is built for real people and genuine connections.

Each person may only create and use one account unless we give written permission otherwise.

We may ask for verification to help prevent fake profiles, duplicate accounts, ghost accounts, scams and misuse of the platform.

If we believe you have created multiple accounts or used false information, we may suspend, restrict or delete your account.

5. Verification Checks

To help protect the community, MoyoWangu may ask members to complete verification checks. These may include email verification, phone verification, photo verification, liveness checks, ID verification or other safety checks.

Verification does not guarantee that a member is trustworthy, compatible or safe. It is only one part of our safety process.

You agree not to submit false, edited, stolen or misleading verification information.

Verification information is used for safety, trust and account protection purposes. It is not shown publicly on your profile unless clearly stated.

6. Member Profiles

Your profile should honestly represent who you are.

You must not upload or publish content that is false, offensive, threatening, abusive, discriminatory, sexually explicit, illegal, exploitative, defamatory or intended to mislead others.

You must not use another person’s photos, name, identity or personal details without permission.

We may review, edit, hide, reject or remove profile content that breaches these Terms or our safety standards.

7. Matchmaking and Introductions

MoyoWangu may suggest matches or introductions based on information provided by members, including preferences, location, background, relationship goals and other details.

Match suggestions are not guarantees of compatibility, relationship success, safety or availability.

You are responsible for deciding whether to communicate with, meet or continue interacting with another member.

MoyoWangu does not guarantee that you will receive matches, messages, dates, relationships or any specific outcome.

8. Communication Between Members

When communicating with other members, you agree to be respectful, honest and safe.

You must not:

Harass, threaten, bully, abuse or intimidate another person.

Send unwanted sexual, offensive or aggressive messages.

Ask for money, gifts, financial help, loans, investments or sensitive information.

Promote scams, gambling, illegal activity, paid services or commercial offers.

Share another person’s private information without permission.

Impersonate another person or misrepresent your intentions.

We may restrict, suspend or remove members who misuse communication features.

9. Safety and Offline Meetings

MoyoWangu may help people connect, but we do not control what members do outside the platform.

You are responsible for your own safety when communicating with or meeting another person.

We strongly recommend that you take precautions, such as meeting in public places, telling someone you trust where you are going, arranging your own transport and avoiding sharing sensitive personal or financial information too early.

You should report suspicious, abusive or unsafe behaviour to us.

10. Prohibited Use

You must not use MoyoWangu to:

Break the law.

Create fake, duplicate or misleading accounts.

Harass, exploit, threaten or harm others.

Collect member data without permission.

Send spam, scams, phishing messages or malicious links.

Upload viruses, malware or harmful code.

Attempt to access accounts, systems or data without permission.

Use the platform for prostitution, escorting, trafficking, adult services or illegal sexual activity.

Use the platform for business advertising, recruitment, political campaigning or unrelated promotion without permission.

Interfere with the operation, security or availability of the service.

We may take action against any account that we believe is misusing the platform.

11. Subscriptions, Paid Features and Payments

MoyoWangu may offer free and paid features, including subscriptions, upgrades or premium services.

Prices, features and availability may change from time to time.

Where paid features are offered through app stores, payment providers or third-party platforms, their own terms and payment rules may also apply.

Unless required by law or clearly stated otherwise, payments may be non-refundable once access to a paid feature has been provided.

We do not guarantee that paid membership will result in more matches, successful dates or a relationship.

12. Early Access and Beta Features

MoyoWangu may offer early access, testing or beta features before the full platform is released.

Early access does not guarantee approval, full membership, matchmaking access or continued availability of any feature.

We may change, pause, remove or limit early access features at any time as we improve the service.

13. Account Suspension or Termination

We may suspend, restrict or delete your account if:

You breach these Terms.

You provide false or misleading information.

You fail verification checks.

You behave in a way that may put other members at risk.

You misuse the platform.

We are required to do so by law.

We may also remove inactive, incomplete or unverified accounts after a reasonable period.

You may request account deletion by contacting us.

14. Your Content

You remain responsible for the content you provide, including profile information, photos, messages and preferences.

By uploading or submitting content to MoyoWangu, you give us permission to use, store, display, process and share that content as needed to operate the service, provide matchmaking, improve the platform and keep members safe.

You confirm that you have the right to provide the content you submit.

15. Intellectual Property

The MoyoWangu name, logo, branding, website design, software, text, graphics and platform features belong to MoyoWangu or its licensors.

You must not copy, reproduce, modify, sell, misuse or distribute our branding, content or platform features without permission.

16. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us.

Our use of personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy. By using MoyoWangu, you agree that we may collect and use your information as described in that policy.

You should read the Privacy Policy together with these Terms.

17. Third-Party Services

MoyoWangu may use third-party services for hosting, payments, email, SMS, analytics, verification, app distribution or other platform functions.

We are not responsible for the content, availability, policies or actions of third-party services outside our control.

18. Service Availability

We aim to provide a reliable service, but we do not guarantee that MoyoWangu will always be available, uninterrupted, secure or error-free.

We may update, suspend, restrict or remove parts of the service at any time for maintenance, security, legal, technical or business reasons.

19. No Guarantee of Relationship Outcome

MoyoWangu helps people discover and connect with potential matches.

We do not guarantee love, marriage, compatibility, relationship success, personal safety, member behaviour or any specific result from using the platform.

All interactions and decisions remain your responsibility.

20. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MoyoWangu is not responsible for any loss, damage, harm, dispute, emotional distress, financial loss, relationship outcome or offline incident arising from your use of the platform or interactions with other members.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where the law does not allow it to be excluded.

21. Indemnity

You agree to be responsible for any claims, losses, damages, costs or expenses arising from your misuse of MoyoWangu, your breach of these Terms, your content or your interactions with other members.

22. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

When we make changes, we may update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify members.

Your continued use of MoyoWangu after changes are published means you accept the updated Terms.

23. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, unless another jurisdiction is required by applicable law.

Any disputes will be handled by the courts of England and Wales, unless the law requires otherwise.
