MoyoWangu is built for Zimbabweans who want meaningful connections rooted in honesty, culture, respect and shared values.
These Community Guidelines explain the behaviour we expect from every member. They help us keep MoyoWangu safer, more genuine and more respectful for everyone.
By using MoyoWangu, you agree to follow these guidelines, our Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.
1. Be Honest About Who You Are
MoyoWangu is for real people.
You must not create a fake profile, duplicate account or misleading identity.
Your profile should honestly represent you, including your age, photos, relationship status, location, intentions and background.
Do not use another person’s name, photos, identity documents or personal details.
2. One Person, One Account
Each member may only have one MoyoWangu account.
This helps us reduce fake profiles, ghost accounts, duplicate accounts and people who try to mislead others.
If we believe you have created multiple accounts or used false information, we may restrict, suspend or delete your account.
3. Use Real and Appropriate Photos
Your photos should be clear, genuine and belong to you.
Do not upload:
Stolen photos.
Heavily misleading photos.
Celebrity photos.
Group-only photos that make it unclear who you are.
Sexually explicit or nude images.
Violent, hateful or offensive images.
Images of children as your main profile photo.
Photos used to impersonate someone else.
We may remove photos that do not meet our standards.
4. Be Clear About Your Intentions
MoyoWangu is for people who want intentional connections.
Be honest about what you are looking for, whether that is dating, companionship, a serious relationship or marriage-minded connection.
Do not mislead people about your intentions, relationship status, availability, family situation or expectations.
5. Respect Other Members
Treat every member with dignity and respect.
You must not harass, insult, threaten, shame, intimidate, pressure or abuse another person.
Respect someone’s boundaries if they do not reply, decline interest, block you or say they are not interested.
No one owes you a conversation, match, reply, meeting or explanation.
6. No Hate, Discrimination or Degrading Behaviour
MoyoWangu welcomes Zimbabweans from different backgrounds, tribes, cultures, languages, faiths, locations and life experiences.
You must not attack, mock, exclude, insult or degrade people based on:
Tribe or ethnic background.
Nationality.
Race.
Religion.
Gender.
Age.
Disability.
Relationship history.
Divorce or separation.
Whether someone has children.
Appearance, body type or social status.
Preferences are allowed, but disrespect is not.
7. No Harassment or Pressure
Do not pressure another member to:
Reply quickly.
Share their phone number or WhatsApp.
Move off the platform.
Send photos.
Meet in person.
Discuss private matters.
Share financial details.
Enter a relationship before they are ready.
If someone sets a boundary, respect it immediately.
8. No Sexual Harassment or Explicit Content
Do not send unwanted sexual messages, sexual images, explicit requests or inappropriate comments.
Do not pressure anyone for intimacy, photos, videos or sexual conversations.
MoyoWangu is not a platform for casual sexual solicitation, adult services, escorting or explicit content.
Members who behave sexually aggressively or inappropriately may be removed.
9. Never Ask for Money
Do not ask other members for money, gifts, loans, airtime, transport money, school fees, medical help, business investment, visa costs, travel costs or emergency support.
Do not use emotional pressure, romantic manipulation or urgent stories to request financial help.
Money requests are a serious safety warning and may lead to account removal.
10. No Scams, Fraud or Misleading Activity
You must not use MoyoWangu to scam, deceive or exploit others.
This includes:
Fake investment opportunities.
Crypto or forex schemes.
Romance scams.
Phishing links.
Fake emergencies.
False job offers.
Immigration or visa scams.
Requests for banking details.
Attempts to collect personal documents.
Suspicious external links.
Report any member who asks for money or behaves suspiciously.
11. Keep Personal Information Safe
Do not share sensitive personal information too early.
Be careful with:
Home addresses.
Workplace addresses.
Bank details.
Passwords.
Login codes.
ID documents.
Passport details.
Children’s information.
Exact routines.
Private family details.
Also, do not share another member’s private information without their permission.
12. Use In-App Chat Safely
MoyoWangu provides in-app chat to help members communicate before sharing personal contact details.
We recommend keeping conversations inside MoyoWangu until you feel comfortable and confident that someone is genuine.
Do not misuse chat to harass, pressure, spam, scam, threaten or send inappropriate messages.
13. Report Unsafe Behaviour
Please report members who break these guidelines or make you feel unsafe.
You should report:
Fake profiles.
Duplicate accounts.
Abuse or threats.
Harassment.
Sexual pressure.
Money requests.
Scams or suspicious links.
Impersonation.
Hate or discrimination.
Unsafe offline behaviour.
Reports help us protect the wider community.
14. Blocking Is Allowed
You may block someone if you no longer want to communicate with them.
You do not need permission to end a conversation.
Blocking is a healthy safety tool and should be respected.
Do not try to contact someone again through another account, phone number, social media profile or third party after they have blocked you.
15. Meeting in Person
If you choose to meet someone in person, take care.
Meet in a public place.
Tell someone you trust where you are going.
Arrange your own transport.
Keep your phone charged.
Do not leave your drink or belongings unattended.
Do not feel pressured to go somewhere private.
Leave if something feels wrong.
MoyoWangu helps people connect, but you are responsible for your own safety when meeting offline.
16. No Illegal or Harmful Activity
Do not use MoyoWangu for illegal, harmful or exploitative activity.
This includes:
Violence or threats.
Human trafficking.
Exploitation.
Blackmail.
Extortion.
Prostitution or escorting.
Illegal drugs.
Fraud.
Identity theft.
Sharing intimate images without consent.
Encouraging self-harm or harm to others.
We may report serious issues to relevant authorities where necessary.
17. No Spam or Promotion
MoyoWangu is not for advertising unrelated products, services or groups.
Do not use the platform to promote:
Businesses.
Paid services.
WhatsApp groups.
Telegram groups.
Social media pages.
Political campaigns.
Religious recruitment.
Job schemes.
Events unrelated to MoyoWangu.
Investment schemes.
Repeated copy-and-paste messages, mass messaging and spam behaviour are not allowed.
18. Respect Cultural Identity
MoyoWangu recognises that culture, roots, language, faith, tribe, totem and family background can matter deeply to members.
You may express your preferences respectfully.
However, you must not shame, mock or insult another person’s culture, tribe, language, totem, family background, accent, location or upbringing.
Culture should guide meaningful connection, not be used to degrade others.
19. Verification and Trust
MoyoWangu may ask members to complete verification checks to help reduce fake accounts and improve trust.
You must not submit false, edited, stolen or misleading verification information.
Verification does not mean someone is perfect, safe or compatible. It is one safety tool, not a guarantee.
Always use your judgement.
20. Consequences for Breaking the Guidelines
If you break these Community Guidelines, we may take action.
This may include:
Removing content.
Warning you.
Limiting features.
Restricting chat access.
Suspending your account.
Deleting your account.
Blocking future registration.
Reporting serious matters to authorities where required or appropriate.
The action we take will depend on the seriousness of the behaviour, risk to members and account history.
